Our unique marina is located at the eastern end of El Golfete overlooking a majestic laguna 1 mile upriver from the famous Rio Dulce canyon.
We are the nearest marina to the mouth of the river by about 14 miles.
Heading east, down river towards the sea will take you through the canyon to the mouth of the river passing by the Garifuna's village of Livingston and ending in Amatique Bay in the Caribbean sea.
Heading west up El Golfete will bring you to the town of Fronteras/Rio Dulce Guatemala.
The marina is calm in the morning with a nice cooling breeze in the afternoon (most days).

Security

The Marina offers 24 hour security with 2 guardians that live at each side of the marina.
The owner/manager lives in the house above the restaurant at the middle of the property.

Protection

The Rio Dulce has a reputation of being one of the best hurricane holes in the whole Caribbean. (Nigel Caulder)
The marina is well protected by mountains all around with further protection provided by being in a small laguna off the main river.
